ROAD TRIP MALANG - JAKARTA. Trans Jawa dengan Campervan

On the 23rd of August we took our Campervan 'Amelia' for a 2 x 856km road trip from Malang (East Java) to Kuningan, Jakarta (West Java). We took this trip due to the fact that we had to go to the Dutch Embassy in Jakarta and children were not allowed to fly yet due to PPKM Covid- measures. Taking the car ourselves and enjoying a vacation seemed to be the right option :) Although the journey is mostly highway, there are just so many beautiful things to see along this road and of course driving through the stunning nature of Java is fantastic. It was quite exciting for a Dutchman to drive the Indonesian roads that far, traffic is different from what i am used to :) Since we are traveling with a baby and are following guidelines on traveling in a car with a young child, we divided the trip into 4 parts: Malang - Madiun Madiun - Semarang Semarang - Cirebon Cirebon - Jakarta We did have some time to enjoy some of the sights in the various cities along the way.
