Mr. Shekhar Kumbhojkar hails from with a musical tradition. He was initiated into music at the age of six , at the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya , Pune. The initial training came from Late Pandit Dattopant Agashe , a disciple of Late Pandit VinayakBuwa Patwardhan . After twelve years of training , he was further groomed by Late Pandit Manoharpant Dabke for three years. Mr. Shekhar then had the rare opportunity of receiving training from illustrious master Late Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki , for about thirteen years . All this training has moulded Shekhar into a mature artist with large number repertoire of known and rare Raagas . In this video he has performed Marathi Abhang .
