BW Packaging Robotic Unitizer - Loose Cartons and Cases of Granola Bars

The BW Packaging Robotic Unitizer is used in this application to handle loose cartons and cases of granola bars. On the loose cartons side, the end-of-arm tooling performs tier sheet handling as well as product handling/placing. Loose cartons are conveyed into the system on their side, narrow-way leading. As they are conveyed to a custom product handling & pick forming section that tips up the product to be picked up by the end-of-arm tool. The robot picks up the cartons and places them on the pallet. On the other side of the system, cases are turned with a case turner. The robot then picks up the cases and places them on the pallet according to the current pattern.
