COLLEGE ROCK RIDDIM (Penthouse, Donovan Germain & Dave Kelly) #reggaemusic #90sreggae #jamaican

DJ Rodney flies the time machine directly back to 1992, pulling up right outside 56 Slipe Road as Donovan Germain and his legendary Penthouse crew redefine the boundaries of uptown reggae fusion with the pristine College Rock riddim! Built as a sleek, highly melodic update to classic roots and rocksteady arrangements, Donovan Germain and hitmaking engineer Steven Stanley infused the track with crisp digital percussion, warm keyboard skanks, and a buoyant, rolling bassline. The rhythm perfectly captured that pivotal early-90s transition where Penthouse masterfully bridged hardcore sound system energy with smooth, radio-friendly crossover appeal. The moment Rodney drops the needle onto this yellow-labeled 7-inch wax, the studio monitors light up with an all-star Penthouse lineup: 00:00 Buju Moving - Buju Banton 02:21 Live On - Beres Hammond & Marcia Griffiths 04:29 One In A Million - Sanchez 07:57 Sweet Vanessa - Thriller U CHECK OUT THE FULL MIX:    • 1992 REGGAE TIME MACHINE (DJ Rodney mix) #...   Tools: The Dhark Machine Mackbook Pro Software: Serato DJ Pro Controller: Rane Performer Mic: Phenyx Pro PTU 5000 Speakers: KRK Rokit 5 Location: The Dhark House Camera: iPhone 17 Shoot in: 4K 30fps Support the Channel: https://cash.app/$DJRodney https://venmo.com/u/DJRodneyHD
