Nafisa Abdulraziqu is a 25-year-old community mobilizer in Unguwar Shayau, Kebbi State. Her work is simple and demanding: walking from house to house to find newborns, remind families about clinic days, and guide mothers back to health facilities when their children are due for vaccination. In communities where many births happen at home, and mobile phone access is limited, this door-to-door work is often the only link between families and routine immunization services. Nafisa tracks newborns, checks clinic records, explains vaccination schedules to caregivers, and helps reduce the number of “zero-dose” children, those who have not received a single vaccine. This short documentary follows her daily routine, the challenges she faces with vaccine hesitancy, and how trust built over time helps families choose to protect their children from preventable diseases. Filmed in Kebbi State, northern Nigeria. #ZeroDoseChildren #AllBabies #RoutineImmunization #CommunityHealthWorkers
