Well from the dev of Seank In, rybachan, in another horror game made in Godot with an RPG Maker style, LONEGHOST is about a young girl getting hungry at night, but she has no food left on the fridge, and all shops are closed at night, so she decides to take a stroll on the apartment building, and found out something.... what she will find? In the game page, as well seen in the video, there are 10 endings, but I only opted to go for 4 endings, due to something I will explain on my review, and basically one of my issues on this game.
Overall, I will still say this game is alright. It has very ambitious design, and especially for a game jam... As always, the art is nice. And now... for the issues. I guess this game you can say, it’s really dark, like hard to see at times. I didn’t even know there are doorways there, so that’s one thing already, but it’s more of a slightly minor issue. As for the major issue..... Yeah this is related to getting to all of the endings. while it’s not hard to go through again, it’s just... you always have to do everything again... from the start, including checking the doors before you can proceed to the next floor. Thankfully you don’t need to check the area with the candle again, but like, I wish if you get an ending, you can just restart from the start of the penthouse instead. While it’s nice and better now it boots you back to the title screen, in comparison to the other game I played before where I have to refresh the page, I just still not ended up trying further... for now. I guess this is also like one thing issue I have from another horror game before that is made in RPG Maker at least, but at least that one only has 3 endings (which is Candy Coating, still I wish you can just save anytime, instead of like I have to replay the whole game again.) This is that, but worse.... I can still kind of forgive at least, again you can technically say I’m too forgiving in indie devs... Still that’s all I can say for now, either that, or maybe even make a save system.
Again, it’s still alright, but with one major issue. If there’s a major update I might sneak it on any videos as a bonus section. There are some games that at least were able to do this in Godot, even the one game I played a while ago (a checkpoint, and allowing you to see the other ending.)
Anyway, I hope you enjoy, and may stars guide you!
