Hey what’s up guys, OSG here, and welcome back to The Amiga Years. This time we’re into 1990, and this is where the Amiga really starts to feel like the machine most people remember. The games are sharper, the sound is better, the variety is getting ridiculous, and this is the first year where picking just 20 games feels almost impossible. In this video, I count down my Top 20 Amiga games of 1990, including Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe, Wings, Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge, Turrican, Pirates!, Pang, F-19 Stealth Fighter, Prince of Persia, Kick Off 2, Loom, Super Cars, Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, PowerMonger, Player Manager, Paradroid 90 and more. This was the sort of year where, if your mate had an Amiga, you wanted to be round there playing it. And for me, Speedball 2 sums that up perfectly — fast, brutal, brilliant with mates, and still one of the best multiplayer games the Amiga ever had. This is The Amiga Years: 1990.
