We start by gathering up all the goats and moving them into our new working area. My wife and I then work through the herd, checking eyelids to determine which animals need deworming and which ones don't. After that, we move the young billy goats in with the lambs and turn our attention to the sheep. We check the lambs, determine which ones need treatment, and then sort them into two groups: those we're planning to sell and those we'll be keeping as future breeding stock. There's plenty to get done, and we're making some important decisions about the future of the flock!
