Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin - The Two Geniuses Who Changed the World Forever Documentary

Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin, two English scientists, in a documentary from the Principia and universal gravitation to HMS Beagle and evolution. Two English scientists, set side by side. Isaac Newton, born in Lincolnshire in December 1642 (January 1643 by modern reckoning), became Lucasian Professor at Cambridge, set out the laws of motion and universal gravitation in his Principia of 1687 and served as Master of the Royal Mint and President of the Royal Society. Charles Darwin, born in Shrewsbury in 1809, sailed on HMS Beagle from 1831 to 1836 and argued in On the Origin of Species, published in 1859, that species evolve by natural selection. From Newton's quarrel with Leibniz over calculus to Darwin's years at Down House, the documentary asks how each changed our understanding of the world.
