Memories (یادیں) 4.05 | Dr Habibullah Kant

In #KashmirLife’s personal history series, #Yadain (Memories) 4.5 offers a bird’s-eye view of #Srinagar in the 1930s. #MasoodHussain engages Dr #HabibullahKant in a revealing conversation about the city’s socio-economic life, before and after 1947. Dr Kant belongs to a generation that gathered at #LalChowk with dummy wooden guns during the #TribalRaids. He was also among the thousands of young Kashmiris encouraged to pursue higher education outside the Valley, returning to contribute to rebuilding a Kashmir battered by decades of exploitative rule and economic dispossession following 1846. A conversation that brings to life the memories, people, and transformations of the #CityofKashmir.
