Camping in 100° Heat Didn't Go as Planned

After waking up at 2:30 in the morning, working a full retail shift, and driving south for hours, I thought I’d be setting up camp beside a river with bluffs, stars, and a nice quiet evening. That did not happen. The first camp plan didn’t check the boxes, so I kept driving through brutal heat until I finally landed at Bennett Spring State Park. By the time camp was up and dinner started, I discovered one more problem: somehow, in nearly 100-degree weather, my ground beef was still frozen solid.
