Story as epistemology — story isn't a descriptor of what you know, it's how you know it. No single truth, only many; power builds the more a story gets repeated Eduardo Galeano, "In Defense of the Word" — written in 1976, in exile, after his magazine Crisis was shut down by the Argentine government. Dense text, and it doesn't resolve its own central question: is writing worth it if it might not change anything? Reading strategies — read rhetorically (writer's motivation, your purpose, how the message gets delivered), read the form (title, abstract, intro, sections, conclusion), read for the argument and skim the rest.
