In this video, I'm playing the version described by Miss Whitmore-Jones in Games of Patience for One or More Players. The name Blockade fits the game rather well: cards in the layout can block the rows above them, so you need to keep an eye on what you're able to build up onto the aces and down from the kings. There are also some decisions about which duplicate card to use when you have a choice, and sometimes a move that looks useful can leave you stuck later. I'm using the original Whitmore-Jones version here, while also pointing out some of the variations that appear in other descriptions of Blockade - including a version where you can work from the top down as well as filling gaps. The game takes a fair bit of table space, but as I show in the video, mini cards can make patience games much more practical when you're playing in a small space.
