For many of us, it's the first time we heard from Fiona Apple (not sure if it was the first single from "Tidal", her first album, or the second), and immediately became a timeless classic. The bass on it is a little tough to hear, as it is usually the case when there's a piano involved, so I based this on live renditions rather than the studio one. For sure, I'm playing less notes during the chorus as the original bass player, mainly because I like it better this way. It is a song that, in my opinion, calls for an interrupted, staccato line, with well-defined notes, rather than the liquid one from the original, but the notes are there, I think. Cheers!
