How can kids help nature? 🌳 Join Sprout and the Tiny Tree Heroes on our Hero Missions: fun, easy nature activities for children to do with a grown-up, every season of the year! A mission is a small job you can do to help nature near your home. Take the Tiny Tree Heroes promise, choose a mission, do it with a grown-up, then earn your medal and certificate! Great for families, schools, nurseries, Beavers, Rainbows, Forest School, EYFS and KS1. 🍂 Autumn missions Hang a bird feeder and fill it with seeds or sunflower hearts (never bread!), and make a cosy hideaway for hedgehogs with leaves and sticks. ❄️ Winter missions Plant a tree, put up a nest box for spring, and keep bird water from freezing on icy days. 🌸 Spring missions Throw seed bombs for wildflowers, and build a bug hotel for bees, ladybirds and beetles. ☀️ Summer missions Water young trees, leave a shallow dish of water for birds, hedgehogs and bugs, and pick up litter with a grown-up. 🏆 Big team goals 🌳 100 Trees Challenge: every hero plants one tree, and together we grow a forest! 🐦 150 feeders for winter: help birds through the cold months.
