After a chaotic opening to the season, Liverpool are now unbeaten in seven matches across all competitions. Isak is finding his goals, Gakpo is becoming increasingly influential, Barcola is creating problems even without scoring, and Florian Wirtz is starting to find the spaces Iraola needs him to occupy. But the biggest change might be happening behind them. Virgil van Dijk remains the organiser. Jérémy Jacquet is emerging as one of Liverpool’s most exciting young defenders. But something has changed. The pressing is becoming coordinated. The defensive movements are becoming more natural. The attack has multiple ways of hurting opponents.
