LittleBigPlanet 3: Joker's Return by The-RraptOrr

LBP.me: https://lbp.me/v/qvqwh38 Review on Rocket Cheetah: http://rkch.co/1NdQNNb ▼▼▼▼ More information below ▼▼▼▼ I'm not sure why, but whenever I come across a LittleBigPlanet level based on a well-known character or franchise my expectations for it are immediately lowered. Perhaps I subconsciously assume that the creator has more of a passion for the theme than creating a fun level. Man, does Joker's Return make my subconscious look dumb! This level by The-RraptOrr is one of the most enjoyable LittleBigPlanet levels I've played in a while and possibly my favourite so far in LBP 3. While not straying far from the platforming standards, the gameplay is clever, well-paced and refreshingly challenging. Thanks to my immense skill (and the power of video editing) Joker's Return might look like a walk in the park, but you should know that the video above is the result of several takes and even then, I still had to cut-out a few embarrassing deaths. The Joker theme is perfectly executed, and not just in the trademark green and purple colour scheme - many other familiar tropes make an appearance too; The creepy, fairground-style sound effects and the Joker's maniacal laugh haunt you throughout and a one or two of his dastardly traps are sure to catch you off-guard. For the most part the use of standard LBP catalogue music works well too, but I can't help but think there must be a community-made track out there somewhere that would have fit the theme a little better. I couldn't be happier to have my theory proved wrong by Joker's Return. Queue it up and try it out for yourself in LittleBigPlanet 3 as soon as possible and if you know of any other brilliant levels you think my stupid subconscious might have caused me to overlook, please tell me about it. ---- Video recorded in 1080p in LittleBigPlanet 3 for PlayStation 4.
