Happy 250th Birthday Westport: You've come a long way

A drive through the town of Westport, Co. Mayo, Ireland at dusk on 16.03.2017, 250 years after an advertisment was placed in Faulkner’s Dublin Journal on 17.03.1767 which sought "people and tradesmen to help build a new town of Westport for Lord Sligo, situated around an Octagon enclosed with large, well finished slated houses, together with avenues for streets of slated houses".
