Russell Brand’s trial is due to begin at Southwark Crown Court on 12th October. Before proceedings begin, Anoushka Mutanda-Dougherty is joined by criminal defence lawyers Matthew Claughton and Stephen Davies to explain the charges, discuss the law on consent, and look at how a UK trial works. Brand faces three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault and one count of indecent assault. He has pleaded not guilty to all the charges and denies the allegations against him. 👉 Fame Under Fire: Russell Brand Trial From 12 October, Anoushka Mutanda-Dougherty will be inside the Southwark Crown Court everyday, and as always she’s bringing you with her.
