Vic Park Crit Race | NCC C Grade | Full Race 13/10/2026

Victoria Park Crit – C Grade – 19th/30, bunch finish (+4s) and lesson learnt on the last lap Norwood Cycling Club Tuesday Criterium, Victoria Park, Adelaide – Tuesday 13/10/2026 After DNFs in my last two C grade crits, this one was do or drop to D grade. Result: finished with the bunch, so I'm staying in C. Perfect conditions – a headwind on the grandstand straight, but not too severe. There were a few attacks, but nothing got away, and the pace at the start wasn't as strong as the previous week. The plan: a decent warm-up, then keep moving up in case a break went. I positioned reasonably well all race, except on the last lap, when I let myself get boxed in on both sides. The bunch slowed, and I wish I'd attacked up the inside/right before everyone else reacted. That cost me an opportunity for a sprint. Lesson learned… maybe.
