"Raseedi Ticket": The Poet, the Politician, and the World This section of Amrita Pritam's "Raseedi Ticket" reflects on her deep philosophical thoughts and her unexpected foray into politics. The narrative opens with the poignant line, "Maaye ni mera Khizar gwaacha" (Oh mother, I have lost my Khizar), which speaks to a larger discussion about rivers, water, and their symbolic meaning. She sees each river as a symbol of a religion and the riverbanks as the followers of that faith. The autobiography details her surprise entry into politics. Following a government conference in March 1986 and a meeting with chief ministers where she participated in a question-and-answer session, she received a phone call from Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, who offered her a membership in the Rajya Sabha. This news was widely reported in newspapers on May 11, 1986. Amrita then briefly mentions some of the issues she raised during her six-year term as a Rajya Sabha member. The narrative also gives a brief overview of her extensive travels across the globe, listing countries and cities like Moscow, Tashkent, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Romania, France, Norway, Germany, and London, along with her participation in a UNESCO conference. This part of "Raseedi Ticket" showcases Amrita Pritam's evolution from a poet to a public figure, her enduring philosophical mind, and her worldly experiences. #popularstories #famous #audiobook #punjabiculture #family #punjabimaaboli #motherhood #punjabistories #writer #punjabibooks #punjabiculture #ਪੰਜਾਬੀ #punjabifolk #punjabikahani #punjabikahaninew #punjabi #punjabistoriesnew Raseedi Ticket!- Amrita Pritam (Complete Audio Book):    • Raseedi Ticket- Amrita Pritam (Complete Au...   Join this channel to get access to perks:    / @drruminderjohal   Channel Playlist- 1.
