Instagram |   / interfibers_gallery   Website | https://www.interfibers.com/ Hey everybody, my name is Wendy Carpenter. I am an established artist of 40 years creating fine art of fiber wall-sculptures and hangings. I enjoy weaving expressionist wall hangings with my borderline "abstract-literal" interpretations...Fiber art that captures the emotion and power of objects through abstracting the natural! My gallery, Interfibers Studio Gallery located in Door County, WI, is where I create and sell my fiber wall sculptures, tapestries, and hangings! I developed “Creating Revenue through the Arts” mission project in 2010 to help the artisans of Guatemala. Together we make apparel with their hand weaved Mayan fabric and custom stone cut jewelry! I love working with other artists, either through travel or in my gallery...it produces an art energy charged environment that cultivates intuitive creativity. It’s my hope that sharing tutorial videos with you will bring forth creative energy for your art works! My video demonstrates how to weave an inlay tapestry wall hanging inspired from an impressionist painting...a Claude Monet style of conveying direct sensation. I am using a 16 harness fly shuttle/dobby system loom to demonstrate how to blend yarn colors for weaving a landscape composition with an inlay pattern. I have pegged on my dobby a four bar sequence repeat: odd number tabby inlay 3,9,15, even number tabby inlay 6,12 Artist Credits: Painting-Susan Sarback Videographer-Jacob Lara #landscapewallhanging #wovenwallhangings #fiberwallsculpture #fineartoffiber #doorcountygallery #interfibers #wendycarpenter #collectingart #impressionimsart #Claudemonet #tapestryweaving Wendy Carpenter-Interfibers Studio Gallery
