Future of Seed production of Alfalfa (Lucern) crop in Pakistan

Alfalfa crop has never been a cash crop in Pakistan so mostly it's seed from different countries is being imported in Pakistan.Since induction of corporate sector in 2009 in dairy business alfalfa has emerged as cash crop here.It also became popular among farmers due to its potential of export as hay to middle East.In this video Dr Qamar Shakeel,a fodder scientist in public sector explains seed production procedure step by step for the farmers to help the community to reduce cost of production.Further seed production locally will reduce burden of seed import
