I was battling with recording the sequel to my Hi-Tech Rollers mixtape for a few weeks; the first one had been so successful I didn't want to come half-hearted - plus this one was meant to be celebrating hitting 20K subs. Pressure! I recorded a mask on version of the mix, then later that night jumped on my Youtube live stream (if you catch my lives you know I never wear the mask) and decided to do pretty much the same mix for the people on stream - I ended up way preferring it to the other version, so I thought it post it here. What I like watching this mix back is that A) I've drunk about 5 pints so really dont give a fuck while I'm doing it lol and B) you get to see me do this in one take, warts and all. B is very important to me! The internet is awash with heavily processed content, whether it's AI Slop or DJs who can't DJ beyond a 30 second snippet. You've got guys out here spending hours filming and editing the same tiny transition who can't bang out tunes for an hour, and I think that's a regression! It's not good! So as much as this makes me an old man & I know no one cares anymore, I wanted to show myself DJing in the moment, one take, no edits & semi wasted to boot.
