Our First Real Day Exploring Yellowstone (Kepler Cascades Blew Us Away)

We finally left the Old Faithful area and actually explored Yellowstone for the first time. After checking out of the historic Old Faithful Inn, we made a quick stop at Hamilton Store, then headed out into the park. First stop was Kepler Cascades — one of the prettiest waterfalls we’ve ever seen, right off the road. From there we hit a geyser basin with mud pots and more scenic views as we started really getting out into Yellowstone. This is Day 7 of our Epic America 250 Wild West Road Trip — the honest version of what it actually looks and feels like when you stop just watching Old Faithful from the boardwalk and start driving the park.
