261022 JMAC Engine Shop Rebuild Completion video on a Spitfire 1147cc engine. (Mark)

This video is a completion video made on an engine that was rebuilt by JMAC Engine Shop. It is from an early Triumph Spitfire and it is an 1147cc motor. It was completely gone through, cleaned, checked for cracks and everything was renewed. The crankshaft was turned to the next smaller journal size, the cylinders were bored to receive new flat top pistons. It has a new oil pump, timing chain and sprockets, tappets, seals and gaskets. This engine came to ma with thrust washer failure. The thrust surface on the block and the crankshaft have been cleaned up and flattened and it has an oversized thrust washer from www.Customthrustwashers.com Oil pressure was 80 psi on cold start and idles at 40-60 psi. Compression numbers were all right at 160 psi and the leak down test came in at 20% or less on all cylinders. This engine is ready to be picked up.
