The show follows a woman being transported into a virtual world where she then finds herself trapped with 5 other people unable to leave and at the whims of the sentient artificial intelligence by the name of Caine. The human players trapped in this world have also all forgotten their names upon entering this world, and even had their bodies changed into entirely new forms. Although the characters are virtually immortal in this world, there is a fate that can befall them known as abstraction which sees the character transforming into a giant formless quadruped with eyes all over its body and is extremely aggressive. There have been many characters in the circus and we have the following names. Pomni, Jax, Kinger, Gangle, Zooble, Ragatha, Kaufmo, Ribbit, Queenie, Dobby. and a few named npcs such as Bubble, Ming, Gummigoo, Gloink Queen, Dissapearing guy, Orbman, and that giant fudge monster creature from episode 2. The Amazing Digital Circus took a key inspiration from the 1967 short story and 1995 video game I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream. A story about an artificial intelligence gaining sentience and using it to destroy and oppress humanity, also serving as the origin point for all rogue AI/robot storylines.
