I’m diving back into Soulmask Hardmode, prepping for a rematch against the Destroyer—the first and final boss of the Holy Ruins dungeon. This mechanical monstrosity brings ground slams, rotating laser sweeps, missile barrages, and waves of clockwork minions, all while the arena itself is packed with spike floors, flame jets, and poison vents. Only the best-prepped tribes survive here. Here’s my plan for tonight: • *Gear Repair:* I’m hitting the forge to fully repair my obsidian armor and weapons, bringing extra obsidian ingots for mid-dungeon fixes. Durability loss is no joke in Hardmode, so I’m not taking any chances. • *Healing & Resistance Prep:* Crafting a full stack of advanced healing salves, bandages, and antidotes—plus fire and poison resistance consumables. The Destroyer’s AoE attacks and the dungeon’s traps demand top-tier healing and buffs. • *Food Buffs:* Stacking high-stamina and high-health foods for max survivability, especially for those drawn-out boss phases and minion waves. • *Rematch Strategy:* I’ll be dodging the Destroyer’s ground slams and laser sweeps, clearing out mechanical minions fast, and using burst healing after each phase. Ranged attacks and mobility are key, and I’ll be watching for environmental hazards every step of the way. • *Barracks & Recruitment:* Between runs, I’ll raid barracks for boss loot, mask parts, and recognition items. Using the Deter mechanic, I’ll recruit only regular NPCs (no elites or mechanicals) to keep the tribe strong up to the 50-member cap. • *Loot Goals:* I’m after Ancient Technology Cores, mask fragments, red and blue crystals, and a shot at obsidian or meteorite gear to push my progression even further.
