I am 36 years old, based in Yuncheng, Shanxi Province, China. I devote myself to renovating a Qing Dynasty ancient residence with a history of more than 200 years. My channel has released 141 original videos, gained 2.44 million followers, and the total likes of all videos have exceeded 21.73 million, winning recognition from numerous enthusiasts with authentic and unpolished records of old house reconstruction. I record every construction detail and traditional craft with my camera: demolishing damaged adobe walls, reconstructing raw soil walls, transporting ancient stone materials and vintage wooden furniture, transplanting 50-year-old jujube trees to build a ten-acre jujube garden, and designing drainage systems to solve waterlogging problems in rainy seasons. I restore nearly forgotten local construction techniques, such as wall plastering with lime and cotton, mud filling for brick joints of earthen walls, and ancient courtyard construction methods. This 237-year-old ancient building carries the local culture and folk life of southern Shanxi. Its brick and wood structure reflects the simple wisdom of ancient architects, which keeps the house naturally cool in summer without air conditioning. I gave up the fast-paced urban life and spent years repairing the dilapidated courtyard brick by brick. All my videos are shot in real situations without scripts or fancy packaging, presenting the whole rebirth process of the old house truthfully.
