300 mile bicycle ride from Innsbruck to Venice - Highlights

We flew to Munich with our bikes and rode along the Isar river to the Munich HbF to catch the Railjet train to Innsbruck. After spending the night in this beautiful Austrian town, the next morning we biked over Brenner Pass to Brunico where we stayed the night. The next day we visited the magnificent turquoise Lake Braies, and my favorite, Parco Naturale Tre Cime, on our way to the picturesque town of Cortina d'Ampezzo. It was on this day that we encountered a giant snow storm, rare for September. Our fourth day of riding brought us out of the Italian Dolomites to the town of Farra d'Alpago and Santa Croce. We finished the trip cycling through Venician Wine Country and rode across the causeway to Venice at sunset, a perfect finale to a fantastic trip!
