Trains At #49| Erith- NKL [02/08/2017]

For the 49th instalment of the Trains At series, I visit Erith on the North Kent Line where services are provided be southeastern only with 6tph stopping and 2tph passing. The passing trains all work services between Gillingham and London Charing Cross and the stopping services are 2tph running as a loop starting and ending at London Cannon Street, 2tph Running in the same loop but timed as terminating at Slade Green and 2tph also running that same loop but timed as terminating at Barnehurst. This makes Erith a very busy station despite rarely seeing many passengers with at most 2 or 3 passengers getting on or off. Erith is a very good station and the London end of Platform 1 has excellent views up the line and for this I can highly recommend it and I will also say that this is the best station on the North Kent Line in the Greater London Area.
