A Visit to Old Age Home

Boston Public School, Sikandra, Agra celebrated grandparents day on September 13, 2023. The purpose of this day is to honour grandparents, to express love and gratitude towards them and to show them that they matter. Besides, it also gives the grandparents an opportunity to share their experience and offer their precious guidance to the young ones. On this occasion students from various classes of our school visited an Old Age Home to give these elderly people some moments of happiness and to give a message that we value them. Our students took the eatables and other items along to offer them to these elderly people. It was an utterly heart-touching moment when our students met them. They shared their stories and agonies with the kids and overwhelmed with emotions, both the kids and the elderly people had tears in their eyes at times. Albeit they had a great time with the kids and they seemed to enjoy these moments. It was a great and altogether a different learning experience for the students as they got to know about the deprivation of these grandparents.
