got home from all the tours & feeling very grateful, so impromptu decided to make this vid. this song is for my younger self who at one point felt like she was on a wrong timeline. I feel now that the dip I experienced then was necessary for all the songs I was going to write, to gain perspective & to give some ground & dirt for all these blossoms of abundance that I am experiencing now. I'm grateful for her naivety, ambition & resolve to go on even after failures & heartbreak. I still struggle with self love from time to time (who doesn't tho) & long for validation from the outside (I do love big stages, let's goooooo), but I do feel like I am now in a place in belong in & with the people I belong with. I guess it's the circumstances that give the tree its unique shape & with time comes acceptance & ease . I have to say though, there have been many songs & videos that I buried, before I was able to get it going with the help of my friends. so lucky to have awesome bandmates to make songs with. also, it's nice to have art to distill meaning from experience & I feel at the moment, that whatever life throws at me, I have the opportunity & capability to make it useful (at least for myself).
