John Thorne is the owner of Thorney Motorsport, the world’s largest and longest-established independent McLaren specialist franchise. From beginnings as a Lawyer and Stock Broker, nearly 25 years ago John turned his passion of tuning cars into being his business by creating Thorney Motorsport, and began modifying, tuning and preparing high performance BMW and Vauxhall VX220 and VXR road and racing cars in such championships as the BMW CSL Cup, Lotus Cup and the British Touring Car Championship / BTCC.
