Their ancestral home was originally located in the Tehatta region. Their progenitor was Shribatsa Sen Sharma. During that era, the family migrated to the Gaur region and established their residence there. His grandson, Dhoyi Sen Sharma, served as the court poet to King Lakshmana Sen; his literary work, the Pavanaduta*, holds a significant place in the history of Bengali literature. Since then, much time has passed and many events have unfolded in the annals of history.
