We've been renovating this house in Bordeaux for almost three years, and this episode is a walk through all of it. The finished rooms, the half finished ones, and the one we use as a dumping ground for everything else. We start outside with the facade, the restored front door and the legend of the violinist who may or may not have built the place, then go room by room: the hallway and its chequered floor, the kitchen we built ourselves, the living room with the wallpaper that divides opinion, the bathroom, the bedroom and its three month wardrobe build, the office that's still a storage unit, and the attic where most of this year has gone. We finish in both gardens, the greenhouse made from the old front windows, and the back facade the stonemasons brought back.
