Movement Archery workshop in Cape Town, South Africa

Artists have two duties; inspiration and truth. Artists inspire for difference and for possibilities that are not yet found. They need to prove that moving in unknown directions with creativity and dedication can become a reality. They also have commitment to their own truth. The truth that is subjective and untapped by words and concepts. It is not about committing to express it or fight for it, it is the commitment to search for it. As teachers and facilitators we try to operate within this call of duty. To inspire and be truthful. And while this could sound like an easy and natural thing to do, it is certainly not so. Our last teaching experience in South Africa, reminded us that keeping these objectives in mind is an important goal. That the outcome and encounter that it creates, is something that we want to give to the world.
