PART #1 A True Acoustic Electric Cigar Box Guitar Build.

Part #1 Building an Acoustic Electric Cigar Box Guitar from one of my custom hand built acoustic box designs. In this build we will try to preserve all the qualities built into an acoustic guitar while attaching a custom pick up built by Smoking Notes Guitars. We will also install a piezo and controls. This is proving tricky and has required me to jig out a bolt on neck; less than CBG traditional but necessary. With the bolt on neck there is no conflict with a center sound hole mounted pick up. As well we are not reducing the inner cubic inch volume of the box. As with all my guitars nothing touches the top sound board or the back of the guitar leaving them free to resonate. But in order to do this I am building an internally mounted thwart bridge to attach the pickup, mounted in the centered sound hole.
