Should you use wrist vibrato or arm vibrato? A lot of violinists think they have to choose one. But the better question is: which movement gives you the most freedom? In this video, I’ll show you how arm and wrist vibrato actually work, how the movement is activated, and what both types of vibrato have in common. I’ll also show you how I use different combinations of wrist and arm depending on the finger, position, and sound I want.
