The other end of this 45-kilometer-long tunnel opens near the Bharthari Cave in Ujjain. Legend has it that King Bharthari of Ujjain, at that time, used to come here to worship Goddess Chamunda and performed penance here. Bharthari is believed to be the brother of Maharaja Vikramaditya.
