The modern injured jockeys fund started with Jack Berry & colleagues raising money for fellow jockey Paddy Farrell in 1964. Since then, it has developed into the charity you see today, with thanks to Jack Berry himself alongside many, many other people. We went for a morning at Jack Berry HQ, not Jack Berry House one of our centres in Malton, to speak to the 88-year-old legend about life, the IJF and more. This really is an emotional, captivating and fascinating watch. The Injured Jockeys Fund has supported thousands of current and former jockeys with medical, financial, and welfare assistance since its founding.
