Hosted on October 2026 Theme: Strategic and intentional collaboration Description: Join us for a one-hour community-of-practice session exploring how strategic and intentional collaboration can strengthen services, improve outcomes, and create more inclusive support systems for immigrant older adults across Alberta. No single organization can meet all the needs of immigrant older adults. Meaningful collaboration between seniors-serving agencies, settlement organizations, healthcare providers, cultural associations, municipalities, and community groups can help bridge service gaps, reduce duplication, and ensure older adults receive the support they need. Building and sustaining effective partnerships, however, requires intentional relationship-building, shared goals, clear communication, and a commitment to collective impact. This interactive discussion brought together professionals and community partners from across sectors to share experiences, lessons learned, and practical strategies for fostering successful collaborations that benefit immigrant older adults and their communities. The Immigrant Senior Sector Connections Partners Meeting is held every second month and provides a space for professionals and community partners to connect around topics that matter to immigrant older Albertans.
