BIYB & The Band of the Parachute Regiment 2019: Fanfare for the Common Man

The Band of the Parachute Regiment joined the The Brentwood Imperial Youth Band for a one day workshop at its Band Hall on the 7th April 2019 which was followed by a sell-out concert in the evening. This has become an annual event with the first in 2017. There were 120 musicians, including 15 trombones, on stage with the youngest just 9 years of age. A wonderful opportunity for our members to learn from professional musicians and find out about life as an Army Musician. This was the opening piece conducted by the Bandmaster of the Parachute Regiment: Staff Sergeant Mike McGowan.
