Bay Turner Talks Taking on 'It Is Well' For Tommee Profitt's 'The Resurrection Of A King'

Bay Turner is stepping into one of the most recognizable hymns of all time and giving it a powerful new life. On the red carpet at the premiere of The Resurrection of a King, Bay talks with Brandon Woolum about taking on “It Is Well (Because He Lives)” and the pressure of reimagining a song that has meant so much to so many people. He shares what it was like working with Tommee Profitt, from being pushed vocally to finding peace in the process, and how focusing on worship over perfection changed everything. Bay also reflects on the unforgettable experience of recording with a full orchestra and how it brought him back to his roots as an opera singer. Plus, he opens up about the message behind the song and why “It Is Well Because He Lives” continues to deepen in meaning in his own life.
