Dipnet Kenai 2026 (Wide View & Full Version)

July in Alaska means-it's time to dipnet for salmon in Kenai! This year's trip was a lot of rain, wind, and cold for the first 3 days. We caught 5 fish for the entirety of these first 3 days! On the 4th day, it was so windy the beach was empty-sand was blasting so hard it hurt the exposed skin. Just when it seemed that this day was a loss-the salmon started coming in! The sun came out halfway through the day and the wind calmed. The weather was so bad, I have no footage of it-I couldn't get the phone out without risking getting soaked or sand blasted!
