[RSMV] Andy Grammer - Back Home

Where to start? Let's see, I started this project back in Nov 2014 and have been working on it ever since. I had taken a few small breaks from it when I had to get my max cape back as well as when my laptop crashed and I had to build a new PC. Other than that I've worked on it diligently since I started the project back in 2014.This video has been one of my most favorite projects that I've worked on in a very long time. I chose to do this song back in 2014 expecting to complete it within a few months, but then once I began working on it I knew that wasn't going to be the case. I put incredible amounts of effort and passion into this project, testing myself with some new editing styles and ideas, as well as bring back some old ideas too. The song "Back Home" and the lines "We always find our way back home!" reminded me of how simple and fun RSMV's use to be. To be able to open up Windows Movie Maker back in 2007 when I began and complete an entire video within days to a week max and receive positive feedback as well as meet new friends was such an amazing feeling and honestly, even though this video took me nearly three years to make, it truly felt like I was "back home" in 2007 making this video. The amount of support and friends that I gained throughout this project was truly overwhelming. I can't thank everyone enough for their help not only throughout the making of this video, but throughout the 10 years that I've been making RSMV's Throughout the video I tried my best to push my limits and incorporate not only new material, but stick to my roots. I've never been an "over-editor" or used tons of effects, I've always tried to keep it simple and clean with a "twist" on it. You may have noticed parts that had "clips" from YT of older videos, what I did with those scenes was take older videos of mine such as Foreigner -Cold as Ice, Wild Cherry-Play that Funky Music Whiteboy & Loverboy-Lovin Every Minute of It, and record the lines for this video with my brother, which brought back so many great memories. We wore the same outfits, recorded in the same places, and did the same emotes. We couldn't stop laughing at some of the stuff we thought "looked cool" back then like the powdered wig with fighter torso haha. Also throughout the video I changed my outfit for certain scenes, specifically during cookie cutter parts. I tried my best to incorporate as much of myself and history of my videos into this video, especially it being a video of celebrating 10 years of RSMVing I created my first Youtube channel back in 2006 with the channel name "Rocketrock88", and began making RSMVs in mid 2007 with my brother. We made around 3 RSMVs and a few other random videos at the beginning of our "career" before our first channel got terminated due to the Copyright of the song, as well as RS itself. Believe it or not, RS actually use to claim their videos as copyright even if you gave them credit lol. Even though we were upset that our channel got taken down, we weren't going to let that stop us! As soon as that happened, we created our current YT Channel "R0cketrock88" and reuploaded all the videos that we had on our first channel, pulled out Unregistered HyperCam 2, opened Windows Movie Maker, and began recording again! Creating "something" out of "nothing" is what I feel RSMV's are all about.Think about it, you're recording yourself saying funny lines in RS & then putting it into an editing program and making art out of it is amazing. I had so much fun making this video, hanging out with old friends and editors and meeting new one's as well. I feel this video/song states how I feel about RSMVing in the sense that it RSMVing is home to me, and it doesn't matter how much time has gone by, or who has come and gone throughout the community, the bonds and memories I've made with my friends over the past 10 years of RSMVing will always be cherished, and I will always find my way back home.
