After 1 Month Away… We Got Locked Out! 😱🔐🇵🇭

After a month away from Quezon City, it’s finally time to head back home! 🚌🇵🇭 We leave San Fernando on a rainy day aboard the Genesis Bus Line for the roughly 1½-hour journey back to Quezon City. Along the way, I reflect on experiencing the *rainy season in the Philippines for the first time* — and now that I’ve been through it, I have a much better idea of what to expect next time! 🌧️🇵🇭 The bus ride itself is pretty uneventful… until we finally arrive back in Quezon City. After being away for a month, all we're looking forward to is getting back to the apartment, sitting down, relaxing, and taking it easy. But there’s just one problem… *WE CAN’T GET IN! 😱🔐* The electronic digital door lock isn't working, apparently because the batteries have run out. So instead of relaxing after the journey, we're heading back down to the lobby to wait while trying to contact the landlord and figure out how we're going to get back inside. Sometimes, even the simplest journey home doesn't go exactly as planned! 😂 Come along for the ride as we leave San Fernando, travel through the rainy Philippine countryside, return to Quezon City, and discover that getting home isn't quite as easy as we expected.
