Tragic Death of BSF Jawan in a road accident in Birmitrapur

There is widespread anger and outrage among the residents of the Birmitrapur area following the tragic death of a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan in a road accident. The incident occurred last night on National Highway 143, near the Rani Sati Temple in Birmitrapur. According to reports, the deceased jawan has been identified as 47-year-old Bartu Bhagat, who was currently posted in Rajasthan. He had recently come to his ancestral village with his wife and son for a holiday. Family members stated that before returning to duty, he had gone to his in-laws' house for some work. He was delayed while returning from there to his own village, Barbansh, near Birmitrapur. Around 11 PM, while he was riding back on his scooter, the vehicle lost its balance and fell by the roadside due to deep potholes on the National Highway. At that moment, a speeding trailer approaching from behind ran him over, killing him instantly. Enraged by this horrific accident, locals immediately blocked the road and staged a protest. Police arrived at the scene upon receiving news of the incident and tried to pacify the crowd, but the agitated villagers were unwilling to listen to anyone. Locals claim they have repeatedly pleaded with the administration to repair the dilapidated road. Accidents occur frequently in this area, and the condition of the roads has worsened further due to the recent rains.
