MRHSO 2025 UIL Orchestra Camerata

MRHSO 2025 UIL Orchestra Sinfonia We were at Kerr HS in Houston for this concert/competition. The sound was amazing from the students. The sight-reading portion gave Mr. Katz and students a decent challenge. For the sight-reading portion, the students are given 10 minutes to review a piece of music that they have not seen before. In those 10 minutes Mr. Katz reviews with the students to play and master. I will say that this was stressful for all in attendance. The parents who are sitting behind the class watched with amazement as the Sinfonia group played with perfection. The day ended with another perfect score in each piece and another trophy. I was excited to be able to capture the jubilations of the announcements of the score.
