Akumal Mexico: Spending the Day at Akumal Bay Beach and Wellness Resort, July 2026.

This is a compilation video of a day my wife and I spent with our granddaughter in Akumal Mexico. The 7 day trip to Mexico was a present to our granddaughter who just graduated from college. While we were in Mexico, some good friends of ours hooked us up with a day pass to the Akumal Bay Beach & Wellness Resort. My wife and I have been guests at this resort many times since about 2007. The resort and ocean conditions in the area have gone through many changes over the years. Most people would agree that the changes to the resort were a much needed improvement, but for a lot of us who use to call the resort, "Summer Camp for Adults," the changes took away the rustic, laid back, and more personalized feel the resort use to have. Regardless, it's still nice to go back and spend time with some of the old staff who still work there. The most important thing was that our granddaughter had a fabulous time. She spent her first trip to Mexico with us at this resort when she was 10 years old. This was her 4th trip to Mexico with us, and it was nice to know that the staff at the resort still remembered her.
